Two worlds that
finally became one.

For as long as I can remember, I have been torn between two worlds that deeply inspired me: spending all my time with dogs, and helping people in need. These were two areas where I seemed to have a natural talent, though it had never occurred to me to combine them. A career spent “working with dogs all day” felt more like an unrealistic dream than a real opportunity, so I chose the next best thing — I earned a Diploma in Special Care Counselling to work with individuals with special needs.
But then fate brought Bailey into my life.
Bailey was a rescue dog, an anxious soul struggling with severe separation anxiety. Armed with everything I had learned during my studies, I set out to rehabilitate her and guide her toward a calmer, happier life. Yet, despite my best efforts and knowledge, something was always missing. Progress felt fleeting, as if a crucial piece of the puzzle remained just out of reach.
Desperate for answers, I turned to Chris Papakostas, owner of Seirios K9 Academy. During our consultation, as I explained my struggles and the journey I had taken with Bailey, Chris looked me in the eye and asked me a simple question:
“You’re smart, and you clearly know what you’re doing. Have you ever considered becoming a professional dog trainer yourself?”
That question was a turning point. In that moment, everything clicked into place — I had found my true calling, and Elite Canine Academy was born.
Under the guidance of Harry Kalajian of Executive Dog Training Inc., I dedicated myself to combining my passion for helping people with my love for dogs, transforming what once felt like an unrealistic dream into a mission: to help dogs and their owners thrive, one relationship at a time.
